Hi,
I would like to use the picture for this title “1500 – Book of Hours by Jean Poyer, known as The Hours of Henry VIII – St. Nicholas: NIcholas Giving Gold to the Three Maidens” for one of our broadcast productions. Do I need to acquire any licenses or copyright to use the picture? If so, can someone please help me with that? I would truly appreciate it.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi, thanks for your question. I can’t really advise on copyright law. My understanding is that generally images of that age should be a commons license and if you acknowledge the source you obtained it from, you should be fine for non-commercial purposes. But that’s just my understanding – I’m not an intellectual property lawyer 🙂
the painting of Jean Perral of an unknow girl seems to represent Anne de Bretagne in her young age
